Congressman Elect John Ratcliffe stops in Paris
PARIS,TX– Congressman Elect for Texas’s 4th Congressional District, John Ratcliffe, spoke to dozens of residents in Paris Thursday night.
Ratcliffe unseated current Congressman Ralph Hall with 53 percent of the vote in the May run off election, and is unopposed in November’s general election.
He says in the past four months he has spent time in Washington, and has hit the ground running, sitting down with 57 republican members of congress, and others.
Ratcliffe says he has never been this politically optimistic.
“It took a Jimmy Carter to give us a Ronald Reagan, and I think it took a Barack Obama to wake America up and give us something much much better in the years to come,” said Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe will be sworn in on January 3rd.
