Congressman-elect John Ratcliffe visits with residents of Grayson County

SHERMAN, Texas — The County’s new Congressman-elect, John Ratcliffe, stopped in Sherman for a meet-and-greet Tuesday night.

Ratcliffe met with voters to talk about a wide range of topics and hear concerns from the local community.

He said a few of his main concerns are education, immigration and healthcare.

Ratcliffe also said he wants to be the voice for the middle-income families of Grayson County.

“These opportunities are a chance for me get out, do a meet and greet with folks in a real relaxed environment and visit with them one-on-one. Get past the campaign rhetoric and let people visit with me and ask questions, tell me what they’re concerns are and tell me how they want me to represent them in Washington,” said Ratcliffe.

Ratcliffe will be the new Congressman for the 4th District of Texas after beating out incumbent Ralph Hall in the primaries.

He is unopposed in the upcoming general election and will be sworn into Congress early next year.
