Grayson County Meet & Greet

Numerous Grayson County officials to host October 14th event for district’s incoming Congressman

HEATH, TX – Congressman-elect for the 4th District of Texas John Ratcliffe will be in Grayson County on October 14th to visit with future constituents. The event will take place at Fulbelli’s Restaurant in Sherman from 5:00 to 6:30 pm and is hosted by several county and state officials – State Representative Larry Phillips, County Judge-elect Bill Magers, District Attorney Joe Brown, District Clerk Kelly Ashmore and Grayson County Republican Party Chairman Reggie Smith.

Ratcliffe is excited for the evening. “I appreciate all of the distinguished hosts organizing this event,” he said. “My future job title will be United States Representative, and I take that very seriously. It means that I work for the people and not the other way around. I’m grateful for the opportunity to visit with future constituents and discuss what we can do to put this county, district and country on a better path.”

The 4th Congressional District of Texas contains 18 counties, and Grayson County is the largest. In the May 27th Republican Primary Runoff, Grayson County alone accounted for 23% of the district’s vote total. Ratcliffe is unopposed in the November 4th general election and will be sworn in as a member of the 114th United States Congress on January 3rd, 2015.
