One Year Ago Today
One year ago today, after a hard fought primary runoff, you gave me the great privilege of being your representative in the United States Congress. I’ve now been in office for five months, and simply want to say thank you for the trust that has been placed in me. I’m fighting hard every day for a more prosperous, more secure, and more opportunity-filled America.
To represent 700,000 Texans across 18 counties, I spend a lot of time on the road in my Jeep going to town hall events, and community and constituent meetings. I’m always on the last flight to Washington, and the first flight back to Texas. I will never forget who I work for – YOU.
Since taking office, I’ve been to over 100 different events across the district to engage with constituents directly. However, since I can’t be everywhere at once, please follow me on Facebook or let me know your thoughts directly.
It’s the great privilege of my lifetime to represent you in Congress. Much hard work remains to be done, but I’m up for the task, and will continue to work hard on your behalf.
I hope you’ll join me in praying for all those who have lost loved ones and had their lives disrupted by the extreme weather conditions across Texas and the country. I am grateful for the first responders and law enforcement officials who have responded swiftly and decisively.
Thank you again, and God Bless.
