Ratcliffe Endorsed by Minuteman Founder
Founder Jim Gilchrist Impressed with Ratcliffe’s Record on Immigration
ROCKWALL, TEXAS – Former U.S. Attorney John Ratcliffe has been endorsed by Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist – whose organization is a national leader in promoting immigration enforcement and border security.
“John Ratcliffe has a long track record of enforcing the laws of the United States and defending the Constitution,” said Gilchrist. “He’s someone who arrested over 300 illegal aliens in a single day, and then made the company that unlawfully hired them pay millions of dollars in criminal penalties.”
Ratcliffe is grateful for the endorsement. “I appreciate Jim’s recognition of my proven conservative record on immigration issues,” Ratcliffe said. “It’s easy for candidates and politicians to make promises, but much harder to back them up. Because of my record, voters don’t have to guess what kind of Congressman I’ll be.”
The Minuteman Project founder has never before endorsed a challenger over 90 year-old Ralph Hall, now seeking an 18th term. However, Gilchrist felt Ratcliffe provides voters with a clear choice for the future. “Texas needs someone in DC that will fight on behalf of taxpayers to end the influx of illegal aliens in America and that is why I wholeheartedly endorse John Ratcliffe for U.S. Congress,” Gilchrist said.
This endorsement follows the recent Dallas Morning News endorsement of Ratcliffe over Hall – also a first for the newspaper. “These endorsements echo what I’m hearing from voters in every corner of the district, Ratcliffe said.” “People recognize that Washington has never been more broken, and that we need new, energetic leadership to fix it.”
The Republican Primary will be held on March 4th with early voting beginning on February 18th. Questions regarding the Ratcliffe Campaign can be directed to email@example.com.
