State Rep. Laubenberg Endorses Ratcliffe in Runoff

Respected Conservative, Pro Life Leader Endorses Challenger

ROCKWALL, TX – Today State Representative Jodie Laubenberg (R-Parker), one of the most conservative legislators in Texas and the author of the most significant pro life legislation in the nation to date, endorsed former U.S. Attorney and conservative Republican candidate for Texas’ 4th congressional district John Ratcliffe. Laubenberg currently represents part of Collin County, and previously represented Rockwall County.

“I have the utmost respect and highest regard for Congressman Hall,” said Rep, Laubenberg. “When our nation faced a serious threat to our liberty, Ralph Hall stepped up and defended our nation, serving honorably. Today we face a new threat to our liberty and I believe John Ratcliffe has the courage, the conviction and the fire in the belly to be a conservative leader for northeast Texas. I am very confident that John Ratcliffe is the person who will step up to defend liberty for this generation. I am proud to endorse John Ratcliffe for Congress.”

Rice University’s Mark Jones ranked every Texas legislator from conservative to liberal based on all of their votes in the 2013 regular session and the three special sessions and found State Rep. Laubenberg to have the 10th most conservative voting record of the 150 House members.

“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of Representative Laubenberg, a stalwart conservative leader for Texas and a very familiar face for much of the 4th congressional district,” said Ratcliffe. “This endorsement gives our campaign significant momentum as we head into the runoff, and I am deeply grateful for it.”

Ratcliffe forced a runoff with 17-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall on March 4 and is the former Mayor of Heath and the former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas.
