Rockwall, TX — The National Rifle Association (NRA) has endorsed Congressman John Ratcliffe for re-election. “I’m grateful for this support from the NRA,” said Ratcliffe. “As a constitutional conservative, my support for our Second Amendment rights is unwavering. I’ll continue to do everything in my power to fight back against the assault President Obama and his liberal allies are waging against our right to bear arms.”
Said the NRA in its endorsement:
“On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse your candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in the March 1, 2016, Republican primary in the 4th Congressional District of Texas. Congratulations on your “A” rating and endorsement, and thank you for your steadfast support of the Second Amendment.”
In Congress, Ratcliffe helped lead the charge to stop the ATF’s attempted ban of “green tip” ammo. He has strongly opposed the President’s executive actions on gun control, and was an original co-sponsor of the Separation of Powers Restoration and Second Amendment Protection Act.
Heritage Action has rated Ratcliffe the most conservative representative from the State of Texas. The Texas Republican Primary takes place on March 1st with early voting beginning on February 16th.
