BREAKING: Ratcliffe sweeps reelection in Texas’ 4th District
Congressman John Ratcliffe issued the following statement upon winning reelection to the 4th Congressional District of Texas. The Associated Press called the race with Ratcliffe leading 75% to 23%.
“It is the privilege of my lifetime to represent the Fourth District of Texas in Congress. I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support from my constituents who have voted for me to continue to serve on their behalf. At this historic juncture in our nation’s history, we have the opportunity to continue advancing conservative reforms for the American people.
The tremendous work being done alongside President Trump to reverse the crippling policies of President Obama is already making an enormous positive impact on Northeast Texans, and I refuse to slow down on this important effort.
There’s more fighting to be done to advance the priorities of my constituents – whether it’s securing our borders, continuing to grow our economy, defending our Constitutional rights, boosting support for our military and veterans, or bolstering defenses against terrorist threats – and I’m ready to do just that.”
Ratcliffe was elected to Congress to represent Texas’ 4thDistrict in 2014. He is a former United States Attorney for the East District of Texas. He and his family live in Heath.
